Shreveport Fire Department Chief Scott Wolverton talks with 101.7 / 710 KEEL's Robert J Wright and Erin McCarty about the effects of the Coronavirus, Stay-at-Home rules and the possibility of infection on the day-to-day operation of the SFD.

Wolverton tells KEEL listeners how not only firemen on calls, but particularly EMTs have changed their procedures, but also their equipment in hopes of limiting the possibility of infection of both first responders and those in need.

The Chief also talks about, with the city facing major fiscal shortages due to virus related business shutdowns, the need to trim all unnecessary expenditures to avoid major cutbacks, including the closing of some stations and staff layoffs.
