I remember the very first time I got to go into the KEEL studio like it was yesterday.  It was back in the late 70's when KEEL was still downtown at 710 Spring Street.  (Pretty cool how THAT worked out!)  Marty Johnson, who is now a Shreveport attorney, and an amazing photographer, was on the air every week night from 7P to midnight.

This was in the days when 710 KEEL was THE powerhouse Top 40 station in the market.  I guess I can tell this now because I don't think Marty will get into trouble, but I called the request line and asked if I could see the studio.  I can still remember how everything was layed out.  The 'board', the cart machines, the phone... it was beautiful... and I was hooked.

I wish I had pictures, but that was when you had to actually have a camera, then go get the film developed.  The KEEL control room was on the second floor on the corner.  We used to drive by the radio station and we got excited if we were able to catch a glimpse of the jock on the air up on the second floor of the building. Hey, it was a big deal back then.

The only time I can remember ever being nervous behind the microphone, was the first time I stood in that very control room as a KEEL jock.  Midnight to 6A.  I had made it....

Well, KEEL has gone through many changes over the years, including building locations and format changes.  But to think I get to come into the building and carry on that legacy of this historic station is something I still, to this day, don't take for granted.

Being on the Morning Show with the legendary Erin McCarty, following in the footsteps of morning legends that have been on 710 KEEL like Larry Ryan, Jeff Edman, and Robert J. Wright... to name but a few... man... surreal...

We recently moved into our "new" studio.  It's actually our old room that has been completely redone with all new equipment and furniture... Designed and built by the best engineers in the business... seriously.  Below you can see what our old room used to look like, and what our new studio looks like now.  Thanks guys
