Cade Brumley Offered Superintendent’s Job in Jefferson Parish
It looks like Cade Brumley could be calling in a moving truck. The Jefferson Parish School Board voted 9-0 to offer the DeSoto Superintendent the top job in our state's largest school system.
The congratulatory messages are beginning to flow in from across the state.
Some board members wanted to reopen the search process when Brumley was left as the only candidate in the running. Jefferson School Board Chairman Mark Morgan is expected to work with a committee to negotiate terms of the deal with Dr. Brumley.
The 37-year-old Brumley points to several years of successes in DeSoto Parish where the school system has earned an A in the state ratings. Brumley has been DeSoto Superintendent since 2012.
