Caddo Coroner, Todd Thoma released a statement Thursday morning giving the name of the man found dead in a burning home in a Cedar Grove neighborhood.

The 61 year old male is Caddo Parish's first fire victim of the new year.

The Caddo Coroner released this statement:

"The Caddo Parish Coroner's office has released the name of a man whose body was found in a house that burned late Wednesday, January 15, 2020, in the Cedar Grove neighborhood.

The body of Dave C. Jackson Sr., 61, was found in the residence in the 600 block of David Drive just after 6:30 p.m. Identification was through fingerprint comparison.
