A SporTran bus caught fire and exploded in Shreveport today. This according to multiple reports, 911 records, and multiple viral videos on social media.

KSLA-TV reports that the fire, and eventual explosion, took place on North Hearn Avenue at Forum Drive. This is in North Shreveport, near the Amazon Distribution Center and Caddo Correctional Center.

Ryan Robbins with Twin City Towing provided us with this video of the explosion:

According to KSLA, police and fire officials told them that no injuries have been reported in the explosion or fire. Their report says that fire officials told them that this was a bus running on compressed natural gas, and that the tank on the bus had ruptured, leading to the fire.

Multiple posts across social media describe hearing and feeling the explosion from miles away. Smoke plumes can be viewed from as far away as Bossier City.

Caddo 911 records show at least a dozen vehicles have been dispatched to the area.
