Shreveport Man Arrested for Several Business Burglaries
Shreveport Police have arrested a repeat offender connected to multiple recent business burglaries across Shreveport.
Over the past several days, many Shreveport businesses were targeted for burglary in a similar way. SPD Officers reviewed security video from several of those locations and were able to identify a truck believed to be connected to the crimes.
That vehicle was later found during a traffic stop on Broadacres Road. Officers made contact with the driver, Michael Butler, who was found to be in possession of cocaine.
Officers were able to connect Butler’s car and other factors to three recent business burglaries in Shreveport.
Butler has 36 prior arrests for burglary, as well as a prior arrest for unauthorized entry of a place of business.
From SPD:
"To repeat offenders who continue targeting our city: we are not going away. If you continue breaking into businesses, we will continue taking your freedom away."
