Caddo Parish Deputies Arrest Woman for Allegedly Stabbing Her Boyfriend

A 24 year-old woman has been arrested in connection with a stabbing incident involving her boyfriend on October 19th.

CPSO Detectives responded to North Caddo Medical Center in Vivian, Louisiana, after getting reports of a stabbing. Upon arrival, he spoke with the victim, who told CPSO that he had been stabbed by his girlfriend, Meredith Thomas, following a domestic dispute.

According to CPSO investigators reported that the victim and Thomas got into a verbal argument at their home. After the argument, the victim left with Thomas's cellphone. Thomas allegedly followed him to a McDonald's restaurant located on West 70th Street in Shreveport, where a second confrontation happened in the parking lot.

Thomas reportedly chased the victim through the parking lot in her vehicle before getting out of the car armed with a knife. CPSO determined that she then chased the victim on foot and allegedly stabbed him before fleeing the scene.

Detectives reviewed surveillance footage from the restaurant, which confirmed what the victim had been telling Deputies. As the investigation progressed, Deputies found Thomas at her home and found a knife believed to have been used in the incident.

Thomas was taken into custody and was brought to the Caddo Correctional Center, where she was booked on a charge of aggravated assault against a dating partner. The investigation is ongoing.
