Bossier City Man Arrested for Selling Stolen Merchandise on eBay

A Bossier City man is in Caddo custody on a theft charge.

Deputies say 60-year-old Michael David Thompson stole merchandise from his employer, Construction Safety Products, then sold the items on eBay.

Sheriff Steve Prator says Thompson's employer reported missing inventory from the company. Thompson returned more than $2,300 worth of items, and admitted to selling other merchandise on eBay. The value of those items hasn't been determined.

Thompson has been booked into Caddo Correctional Center. Detectives continue to investigate.
