Second Suspect Arrested in Shreveport Lowe’s Hardware Theft

On February 6th, Shreveport Police were called to the Lowe's on Alkay drive for a theft that had just taken place.

Police showed up to the Lowe's and checked the camera footage and saw two men walking in, stealing over 1,000 dollars worth of power tools, and leaving in a pickup truck. One suspect was recognized immediately as Derrick Parker. Police took to the streets trying to find Parker and he was eventually arrested for the theft.

While Police were looking in to this case, they found out that the second person was Cody Wainwright. Police issued a warrant for Wainwright and the hunt was on.

On Monday (2/17/25), Police were able to track-down Wainwright and arrested him for his involvement in the heist. Both men were charged with one count of Felony Theft.
