[UPDATE] Body Found Along Interstate 20 In Harrison County Identified

UPDATE: The body has been identified as 51 year old Lillian Desiree Descoteau of Irving, Texas. 

Harrison County officials are investigating the case as a homicide.  The body has been sent to a forensics lab in Tyler to determine the cause of death.

ORIGINAL: Harrison County Sheriff's Office is investigating a possible murder after a body was found off the side of I-20 south of Hallsville.

The body was discovered by truckers who stopped to check their tires on the side of the roadway.  They noticed what they had thought was a mannequin, but realized that it was an actual body.

They are now looking for the public's help in identifying the body.

Harrison County Sheriff's Lieutenant Jay Webb said authorities are working to determine if the woman was killed somewhere else and transported to where the body was discovered.
