Every once in a while, you run across a news story that's so unbelievable that you have to double check to make sure it's not coming from the Onion or Babylon Bee.  This is one of those instances.

My normal routine is to check news feeds in Louisiana & Texas just to see what's going on. At first, I was seeing the normal stuff - arrest stories, the latest about what was happening the legislative session, etc., etc.. Then I saw a headline about a naked axe wielding woman being on the loose in Louisiana. My first instinct was "There's NO WAY this is true."

Well, as it turns out, this wasn't a case of fake news. It's a legitimate investigation in Slidell, Louisiana.

According to a statement from Slidell Police, the incident took place in a wooded area Monday night. The victim claims that he was assisting a man in need of directions. Somewhere along the way, he stepped into a patch of woods to take care of some business, then out of nowhere a naked woman with an axe started chasing him. Luckily for him, he was able to out run the woman and her axe.
