Lots of folks will be taking time off from work over the next few weeks to get together with family and friends for the holidays. You might get to talking about when you will get together again.

Plan Now for Spring Vacation

Some might event start planning a spring break trip. For some folks, that might include a trip to the mountains for a snow skiing trip. That's fun. But if I just want to sit back and relax, I want to be at the beach. There is nothing better than digging your toes in the sand and watching the waves. I might even take a dip into the Gulf of Mexico (not too deep, thanks to Jaws). But my favorite moments are just sipping on a cocktail and listening to the waves roll in and watching all the children and families enjoying great healthy time together.

Build Great Memories at the Beach

I still have memories of my boys pushing around that little yellow dump truck up and down the beach. The would fill it with wet sand and push it back up to where they were building a sand castle masterpiece. Those memories will never fade.

During my trips to the beach, we would often celebrate with a seafood extravaganza. We would pile the table full with boiled crabs, boiled shrimp and oysters and dig in. I'm not an oyster gal, so that would be left for others. But it was better than any holiday feast you will ever find.

If you are already dreaming about putting your toes in the sand and making a run to the beach, we put together a list of our favorite beach spots not too far from our area.
