Mother Nature has turned up the heat, but you can cool down at these Shreveport City pools and splash pads. I honestly thought I was going to melt a few times already this year when out messing with the horses and I would give anything to have a pool again. But since I don't, I was darn near ready to sit in a water tank!

Thankfully, SPAR (Shreveport Public Assembly and Recreation) and the City of Shreveport are on the case and have already opened our public splash pads. Those opened back on May 1st and are open daily from 8 am to 9 pm through October 1st and water shoes are encouraged. Here's where you can find Shreveport's splash pads.

A.C. Steere “Purple Park” – 4009 Youree Drive
Airport Park Community Center – 6500 Kennedy Street
David Raines Community Center – 2920 Round Grove Lane
Hattie Perry Community Center – 4300 Ledbetter Street
Lakeside Park Community Center – 2200 Milam Street
Querbes Park and Community Center – 3500 Beverly Street

Shreveport's public pools will open in conjunction with Rock Solid in the next week or so. The Southern Hills and David Raines pools will open on Memorial Day, Monday, May 29th, 2023, from 1 - 5 pm. The Airport Park and Querbes pools will open on Tuesday, May 30th, 2023, from 1 - 5 pm. Bill Cockrell pool isn't opening this season due to needed repairs.
