Arrest Made In Shreveport’s Latest Homicide

On February 12, at approximately 7:20 A.M., officers responded to a call in the 2200 block of Roosevelt Avenue regarding a stabbing incident. Upon arrival, officers discovered a male victim who was pronounced deceased by the Shreveport Fire Department.

Initial investigation determined that the victim and 25-year-old Shagail Wynn were engaged in a dispute, resulting in the fatal stabbing of the victim. Detectives from the Shreveport Police Violent Crimes Unit responded to the scene and commenced their thorough investigation.

Following meticulous examination and analysis of evidence, Wynn was taken into custody. Subsequently, Wynn has been arrested and charged with one count of second-degree murder in connection with this incident.

The investigation into this matter is ongoing, however, we remain steadfast in our commitment to ensuring justice is served.
