3 DeSoto Schools Closed Today
A flu-like illness has forced Mansfield Schools to close today. This impacts only the elementary, middle and high school in Mansfield. No other DeSoto Parish Schools are closed.Here's part of the statement from the Superintendent:

As a precautionary measure, Mansfield Schools will be dismissed Friday November 15, due to the increased number of confirmed cases of the flu and those students with flu like symptoms. We look forward to seeing everyone back on Monday, November 18.
Parents are also encouraged not to send children to school if they show any symptoms of the flu. You also should make sure your children have gotten a flu shot.
