Repairs are being made at Griff's Hamburgers in the 2900 block of Old Minden Road.

The business has been closed since mid-August, when a ballast attached to the restaurant's sign on the front of the building sparked a fire. The building was seriously damaged by smoke and flames, and firefighters had to remove a portion of the ceiling and facade siding to attack the fire.

The photo above was taken over the weekend. Crews should be out again today making repairs. The work was originally expected to take six to eight weeks to complete, but there's still no word on when the business will be re-opened.
