[ORIGINAL STORY, May 27, 2015]  Shreveport police are looking for a man wanted for holding up three discount stores over the weekend.

The first happened at Family Dollar in the 2600 block of Hollywood Avenue. A man armed with a handgun walked in, gave the employee a bag and demanded money from the register. The clerk handed over an unknown amount of money. The bandit was last seen running behind the business and getting into a dark-colored sedan, possibly a Chevrolet.

Less than an hour later, officers were called to Family Dollar in the 500 block of Kings Highway. Witnesses from inside the business say a man armed with a handgun gave the clerk a bag and demanded that the money from the cash register be emptied into it. The suspect got into a similarly-described vehicle.

Detectives believe the same suspect may also be responsible for a third armed robbery at the Dollar General in the 8100 block of Line Avenue a day before the two previously-mentioned incidents. Descriptions of the suspect and vehicle, and manner of the robbery, are the same.

Shreveport-Caddo Crime stoppers is offering a reward for information that leads to an arrest. If you know anything that can help, call 318-673-7373 or submit a tip online.
