Shreveport Police detectives are seeking information on two men who committed an armed robbery of a local discount store on Sunday evening.

Just after 10:00 p.m on July 31, 2016, Shreveport Police patrol officers were called to the Family Dollar located in the 2600 block of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Drive in response to an armed robbery. When they arrived, officers learned two men, one of which was armed with a handgun, entered the business and demanded cash at gunpoint.

While holding employees at gunpoint, one suspect made his way behind the counter and removed funds from the store cash drawer. After stealing the money, the suspects fled on foot. Evidence of the crime was captured on video.

The suspects were described as two black males, one wearing a white mask over his face, dark jeans and armed with a semi automatic handgun. The suspect was wearing a dark colored hooded sweatshirt, dark jeans , black shoes and gloves. No arrests have been made.
