Bossier City police are investigating the robbery of a local discount store.

At around 9:15 last night, a man armed with a handgun walked into the Family Dollar in the 2300 block of Barksdale Boulevard and demanded money from the register. He made off with an unknown amount of cash. No injuries were reported.

Witnesses describe the suspect as a black male with his face partially covered, wearing khaki or olive-colored pants, red shoes and a black hoodie.

Anyone with information that can help identify and locate the suspect is asked to call Bossier Crime Stoppers at 318-424-4100.
