A robber is on the run after holding up a Bossier City bank around mid-morning. Witnesses have told police the man walked into the Capital One branch at Airline Drive and Shed Road just before 10 o'clock with his face covered and carrying a handgun.
Shreveport Police Sgt. Bill Goodin says two men armed with guns walked up to the Capital One Bank in the 6100 block of Greenwood Road, then one of them forced a female customer inside and fired a shot into the ceiling. Fortunately, no one was hurt.
Detectives believe they averted a potential robbery when they captured a local man armed with a handgun and robbery note lurking in the parking lot of a west Shreveport bank in a stolen car.
