[UPDATE]  Here's the latest information on this morning's bank robbery, courtesy of the Shreveport Police Department:

Police investigators are searching for the suspect who robbed an east Shreveport bank this morning.

At approximately 11:23 a.m. on June 6, 2016, Shreveport Police patrol officers were dispatched out to the Capital One Bank in the 1200 block of Shreveport-Barksdale Highway relative to a reported robbery. Upon arrival, officers learned a male suspect entered the business and gave a note to one of the tellers demanding money. The suspect was given an undisclosed amount of cash and subsequently fled the scene of the crime on foot. No one was injured during the robbery.

Detectives immediately responded to the scene of the crime and are working at this hour to interview witnesses and recover evidence pertinent to the hold-up. The suspect is described as a black male about five feet 10 inches to six feet tall with a muscular build who was last seen wearing a yellow t-shirt with “CAVS 23” styled on the front, dark colored pants and a dark colored hat.

[ORIGINAL STORY]  Shreveport Police are now investigating a robbery that took place at a Shreveport bank late Monday morning.

It all happened at around 11:30AM at the Capital One Bank in the 1200 block of Shreveport-Barksdale.

Details are few at the moment, but police say that the suspect got away on foot with an undisclosed amount of money. It is unknown if the thief brandished any sort of weapon.

As of this publishing, the bank branch was closed to let police conduct their investigation.
