Police are working to identify and catch two men who robbed an east Shreveport jewelry store this afternoon.

Just before 12:30 p.m., patrol officers were called to a reported armed robbery at the Golden Diamonds Jewelry Store in the 1100 block of St. Vincent Avenue. They learned two males, one armed with a hammer, allegedly broke a display case, then both men took an unknown amount of jewelry. They fled in a silver Mitsubishi Lancer. No one was hurt during the robbery.

The suspects are described as black males, one wearing a grey hoodie covering his face and dark-colored pants, the other wearing a dark-colored hoodie with dark-colored pants and shoes. Investigators are searching for them, and trying to recover surveillance video from the business.
