Red River Boat Ramps Re-Open

The Red River Waterway Commission has re-opened the public boat launches on the Red River at the Teague Parkway and Stoner Avenue recreation areas. They had been closed because of high water on the Red. The ramps at the Highway 2 bridge should also be opening over the weekend. The Commission urges boaters to be careful, though, because the current is still swift and you may encounter obstacles like trees and sandbars while navigating the river.
