Caddo Sheriff’s Office to Offer “First Gun” Course
If your child will be getting a gun for Christmas, the Caddo Sheriff’s Office wants that child to learn how to use it safely.
The sheriff’s office is now registering children ages 8 to 12 for the yearly “First Gun” course. It will be offered on December 14th and again on January 4th at the Sheriff’s Regional Law Enforcement Training Academy on Highway One south.
The course is recommended for kids who will be getting a new BB gun, shotgun, or hunting rifle for Christmas. It’s also recommended for kids who already have a gun but whose parents want them to learn how to use it safely.
You can call the academy at 681-0735 to register your child and to get more information about the course.
