Woman Wounded, Man Arrested

A shooting leaves a woman wounded and a man behind bars. Shreveport police were called to Willis-Knighton Medical Center when a woman showed up with a gunshot wound to her leg. After talking with 23-year-old Chantai Roberts, officers learned that she'd been shot at a residence on Dupont Street by a man she knew. They went there and learned from others that the suspected shooter was 27-year-old Clarence F. Thomas, so they obtained a warrant for his arrest. It took awhile, but they caught him and booked him into the Shreveport City Jail on a charge of aggravated battery. His bond has been set at $80-thousand.
