Woman Arrested for Stealing Money from Child

A number of phone calls and tips to Crime Stoppers have led to the arrest of Tanika Stephenson. She'd been caught on surveilance video taken $13.00 that a 10-year-old girl had laid on the counter at A-1 Beauty Supply on North Market while she played with a fan. Police didn't even have to go after her. She turned herself in after receiving a flood of phone calls from citizens over the weekend. And she's told detectives some of those calls weren't very pleasant. She's been arrested and booked into the city jail for one count of misdemeanor theft.
