You have several options for getting the Covid vaccine this week in the Shreveport Bossier area.

The mass vaccination site at the Louisiana State Fairgrounds is open from Monday-Friday from 8am-4pm. Organizers encourage you to register in advance by clicking here, but it is not necessary.

The Walmart pharmacies also have the vaccines available. Brookshires, CVS and other local pharmacies also have the vaccine available. Click here to see all of the locations.

There will also be a mass vaccination event on Thursday from 9am-3pm at Galilee Baptist Church on Pierre Avenue. Crews from LSU Health, Christus Shreveport Bossier and Willis Knighton have teamed up for this event.

On Tuesday, you can drop by the Arcadia Outlet Mall from 10am until 2pm to get the vaccine. LSU Health will also set up at the old Walmart Parking lot in Mansfield on Thursday from 10am until 2pm.

Anyone working in local schools or daycare centers can get vaccines at the LSUHSC North Campus on Linwood (the old Chevyland site). You do need to bring proof that you work for a school or daycare. This site is open from noon until 5pm Monday through Friday.

North Caddo Medical Center in Vivian is holding a vaccine clinic at Northwood Baptist Church in Blanchard on Tuesday and back in Vivian at the main site on Thursday.

The state department of health reports 14% of the population in Louisiana has gotten at least one dose of the vaccine. That number needs to be close to 85% to reach herd immunity.
