SHREVEPORT, LA - I can't believe summer is almost here. You are probably already thinking about booking a summer vacation. My favorite getaway is the beach and there is something about hearing the ocean roll in that sooths my soul.

Now is the time to start planning that beach trip if you have not already booked a spot. The Gulf Coast from Biloxi to Destin, Florida opens the doors wide open to thousands of vacationers from Louisiana. That will happen again this summer. I like to be right on the gulf front.

There will also be lots of locals who travel to the mountains for a nice getaway for the summer. Others might travel to the big cities for a more metropolitan vacation. But nothing is more relaxing for me than a week at the beach.
