SHREVEPORT, LA - For many years Texas has been home to one of the nation's favorite travel stops, Buc-ee's. This company has been growing like wildfire and stores are being built all across the south. There is even one being built in Ruston, Louisiana just east of the Shreveport Bossier area.

But the bragging rights for the largest Buc-ee's in the nation is not a hot debate. A new Buc-ee's is being built in the Texas town of Luling between San Antonio and Houston. This new 75,000 square foot store will replace the current 35,000 square foot store.

Once the new Luling store opens, Texas will be able to take back bragging rights. The store will be 75,000 square feet and will also have 120 gas pumps.

The Tennessee store might still top the record for jobs. The store is expected to have 350 employees. Owner of Buc-ee's Arch Beaver Aplin III says the Luling store will “have 250 plus employees. It is a big deal for the small towns.”

The new tourist spot can be found in Marfa, a small desert city in west Texas, is known as an arts hub. The art installation, remember the famous Marfa Prada installation, it's kinda like that, has popped up on the side of Sanderson Highway.
