Thousands of visitors go by to see Mike in his amazing habitat each year. He lives right across the street from Tiger Stadium. But you can also watch Mike live 24/7 on his Tiger Cam:
Mike also has his own Facebook page where he posts updates about what's going on in his world every day.
How Often Is Mike Out and About?
Mike does go outside every day. You will find him strolling around during the morning hours checking out his environment and greeting guests who stop by to see him.
He typically gets out every day (even on weekends and holidays) between 8 am and sunset (though times vary). Crews take care of work in the habitat on Thursdays so he is usually inside in the morning while the work is being done. You can find those updates on his Facebook page. Visitors are asked to be considerate of others and take turns viewing. You also should know pets are not allowed at the habitat.
How Is Mike Dealing with the Heat?
Mike has plenty of fresh water to drink. He also has several shady spots in his habitat. He also has a gorgeous water feature flowing through his home and he can take a dip in the water whenever he wants. You will often find him going for a little swim to cool off.
