Grocery store employees have proven themselves to be some of the most essential workers during the coronavirus pandemic.

Along with the medical field and first responders, these store workers put their lives on the line every day while people go into stores to get food and other essentials for their families.

Yesterday, Walmart rewarded those workers in Louisiana and folks throughout the company with cash bonuses. A total of $180 million was given out across the company.

Walmart reportedly gave Louisiana associates a total of 3.52 million dollars statewide. It breaks down to $300 for full-time and $150 for part-time employees. They also reached their goal of hiring two hundred thousand new associates across the company to fill the needs of their stores.

It's great to see these workers being recognized for all their hard work and sacrifice.
