Trio of Young Haughton Females Arrested for Armed Robbery
Three young women have been arrested for a November armed robbery.
Bossier City police say 21-year-old Mekayla Brown allegedly threatened a man and a woman with a knife, and hit them both with a crowbar, at the Crossland Hotel in the 3000 block of East Texas Street.
After getting the woman's wallet, Brown, along with 18-year-old Brittany Gay and 17-year-old Jaschumbia Wilson -- all of Haughton -- took off in a pick-up truck. They're now in jail, charged with armed robbery.
Police have learned that Gay was an acquaintance of the victims, and had arranged to meet them at the hotel to smoke some marijuana.
