Alive After 5, a new series of live music concerts is set to debut on Thursday, March 3, in the Red River District under the Texas Street Bridge in downtown Shreveport.

Some 70 entrepreneurs and dozens of investors are in Shreveport's Red River District this weekend for the first qualifying round of the Louisiana Startup Prize.

Over the past week, a dozen Pop UP businesses have been setting up shop in the Red River District in downtown Shreveport.

Restaurants, specialty food shops and retail vendors are gearing up for this week's Pop UP launch party, set for Thursday, May 8th, from 5-7 p.m.

They range from home decor and clothing to Louisiana products, fine art, hand-made jewelry, and even 3D printing, as well as several restaurants. "They" are the dozen businesses chosen from more than 30 proposals to be the first Pop-Up businesses in the Red River District.

KVKI teams up with the City of Shreveport and the Red River District for "Nights of a Thousand Lights” and the first ever “Holiday Under the Bridge.”

The clean up has started in the Red River district downtown. The city is now in control of the complex and the first step is to clean things up to get ready to bring in new tenants.
