Southwestern Electric Power Company Offers Tips on Hurricane Preparedness
With Isaac approaching south Louisiana, AEP SWEPCO wants to make sure our area is prepared, too.
Spokeswoman Kacee Kirschvink tells KEEL News that you need to keep lots of non-perishable foods and drinking water on-hand. She says a fully-stocked freezer can stay cold for two to three days as long as you keep the door shut as much as possible. And be sure to unplug major appliances and electronic devices during and after the storm.
Kirschvink believes the wind will probably be the big issue here in northwest Louisiana.
