Bossier/Webster District Attorney Schuyler Marvin says he's decided to seek the death penalty for Brandon Butler when his case goes to trial.

Butler was indicted by a Bossier Parish grand jury earlier this month for two counts of first-degree murder.

Marvin issued a brief statement late this afternoon in which he says "Because Mr. Butler viciously took the lives of 26-year-old Karyl Cox and 24-year-old Jacqueline Beadle, without any regard, led me to this decision."  He goes on to say, "Both of these young women leave behind small children who will never get to know their mothers."
