Graduation is supposed to be about the kids...guess these parents and grandparents did NOT get that memo!

Graduation is a happy time - a time for kids to celebrate their accomplishments and look forward to the next chapter in their lives. Unfortunately for these kids, their ceremony was slightly disrupted.

According to wafb.com and Gonzales Police Chief Sherman Jackson:

"Young people worked for four years to have a brief moment of recognition at their graduation ceremony. To have that moment turned into this is inexcusable."

The fist fight went down during the graduation ceremony at East Ascension High School and police say that the people involved were parents and family members of graduating seniors. Chief Jackson says that arrests will be made when the instigators are identified.
