Shreveport Teen Arrested Following a Shooting Incident
Shreveport Police Violent Crimes detectives have arrested a teen in connection with a shots-fired incident that occurred in November near Jewella and 70th Street.
During the investigation, SPD detectives learned that 18-year-old Rayvion Morris had been identified by a 911 caller as one of the people involved. An arrest warrant was secured for Morris on the following charges:
• Illegal Use of a Weapon
• Aggravated Criminal Damage to Property
• Criminal Damage to Property related to damage at Red River Credit Union, 7070 Jewella Ave
Detectives knew Morris and were aware that he is on probation. Thanks to SPD's strong partnership with LA Probation & Parole, agents quickly assisted detectives, leading to Morris being arrested without incident.
From SPD:
"Gun violence will not be tolerated in our city. If you commit gun crimes in Shreveport, you will be prosecuted and held accountable for your actions."
