A Patrol Officer with the Shreveport Police Department was able to get a stolen gun off the street after seeing suspicious posts on social media.

The SPD Officer was scrolling, and found a man trying to sell a gun online. Detectives checked out the listing and found out the person trying to sell the gun was Devon Williams.

Earlier this week, SPD's VCAT Officers conducted an operation on Lake Street where Williams attempted to attempted to sell a stolen gun to an undercover Officer. Williams was arrested immediately and the operation was a success.

Williams is being charged with one count of Possession of a Stolen Firearm and one count of Negligent Carrying of a Firearm.
