Shreveport Porch Pirate Suspect Arrested in DeSoto Parish

Shreveport Police detectives have identified and arrested a suspect connected to a series of package thefts reported across multiple neighborhoods.

Detectives with SPD determined the same individual was responsible for multiple packages stolen from front porches. The suspect was seen wearing a white t-shirt, dark pants, sunglasses, a red hat, and driving a black truck.

Following the release of images from the security footage to the public, SPD got a tip identifying the suspect as Wesley Carl Blevins. An arrest warrant was obtained for five counts of Theft of a Package.

With help from the DeSoto Parish Sheriff’s Office, a search warrant was executed at Blevins’ home. He was found and taken into custody while inside the truck used during the crimes. He also faces additional narcotics charges in DeSoto Parish.

Blevins is currently awaiting extradition to Caddo Parish.
