Suspect Identified in Marshall Street Shooting That Injures Three

On Monday, June 24, at approximately 1:25 a.m., Shreveport Police officers responded to gunfire in the 2000 block of Marshall Street. Responding officers found two victims suffering from gunshot wounds in front of a nightclub at this location. A third victim arrived at a local area hospital by private vehicle.

The Shreveport Police Violent Crimes Unit responded to the scene and began their investigation. All three victims were struck by gunfire; however, they are expected to recover.

After a thorough investigation, the Violent Crimes Unit has obtained an arrest warrant for 25-year-old Damarcus Kelly for three counts of attempted second-degree murder and one count of aggravated property damage.

The Shreveport Police Department urges anyone with information on his whereabouts to contact SPD immediately at 318-673-7300 or Caddo Parish Crime Stoppers at 318-673-7373. Detectives advise that Kelly should be considered armed and dangerous.

Suspects are innocent until proven guilty.

Shreveport Police Property Crimes Detectives Seek Burglary Suspect

Detectives with the Shreveport Police Property Crimes Unit are asking for the public's assistance in locating 31-year-old Joseph Rodgers. He is wanted for one count of simple burglary after detectives discovered at least one vehicle burglary in the 1400 block of East Bert Kouns Industrial Loop on June 13, 2024. A warrant has been issued for his arrest for this offense.
