Shreveport police detectives are trying to identify and catch two suspects responsible for breaking into a home in the Pierremont subdivision last night.

Just before 8 p.m., patrol officers were called to the 300 block of Berkshire Place to a reported home invasion. The victim told officers he was physically assaulted after opening his door for a woman who asked to use his phone.

The victim reported a man who was with the woman entered the home and struck him repeatedly with a blunt opject. Afterward, the victim was robbed of his personal belongings. The homeowner was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

The suspects are described only as a black male and female. Officers combed the area in search of them, but were unable to locate the pair.
