
Two Shreveport Men Arrested for Felony Gun Charges
On Monday, Shreveport Police were able to to get two armed felons off the streets and put them behind bars.
On Monday evening, SPD Patrol Officers made a traffic stop on I-20 near Monkhouse Drive for several traffic violations. Officers made contact with the driver, Willie Gosey and found that he had several warrants out for his arrest. A quick search turned-up a gun in Gosey's possession. Gosey is prohibited from possessing a firearm due to previous felony convictions, including burglary and a prior conviction for felon in possession of a firearm in 2022. Gosey was taken into custody and charged with the following:
· Possession of a firearm by a convicted felon
· Possession of Schedule II narcotics
· Illegal carrying of a weapon while in possession of a controlled dangerous substance
· Multiple traffic offenses
Later that evening, SPD Officers conducted another traffic stop on East 76th Street. During the stop, Officers made contact with the driver and passenger. The passenger was later identified as Tarrell Anderson, gave SPD a fake name at first. Officers were able to find out his real identity and found he was in possession of drugs. Anderson also had outstanding warrants for aggravated assault with a firearm and felon in possession of a firearm. Detectives also confirmed that Anderson is a convicted felon due to a 2015 robbery conviction. He was taken into custody and charged with the following:
· Possession of a firearm by a convicted felon
· Possession of narcotics
· Resisting an officer
