SHREVEPORT, LA-   Shreveport police arrest man for Sexual Battery of a juvenile

On March 2, 2024, at approximately 3:30 p.m., officers responded to a call in the 5300 block of Sussex Avenue concerning a reported sexual assault. Upon arrival, law enforcement officers discovered a disturbing situation involving the inappropriate touching of a female child.

The suspect, identified as 35-year-old Willie Smith, was apprehended at the scene without incident. Smith has since been charged with one count of sexual battery in connection with the incident.

Shreveport Police Sex Crimes Detectives are actively investigating the matter and are urging anyone with additional information to come forward and assist in the ongoing investigation.
