Shreveport Man Arrested for Alleged Rape of Juvenile

SHREVEPORT, LA- Shreveport police arrest man arrested for rape of a 14 year old juvenile.
On July 18th, of 2023, Shreveport Police Officers were contacted in reference to a sexual assault. Shreveport Police Sex Crimes Detectives responded and began an investigation into a complaint of a fourteen-year-old juvenile being sexually assaulted by an adult male. A forensic interview was conducted on the juvenile who disclosed details of a sexual assault reportedly by Alfred Airam (3/28/05).
Detectives were able to locate Airam quickly and he was arrested for one count of second-degree rape.
If convicted, he could face up to forty years in prison. We are required to remind that all suspects are innocent until proven guilty.
