The four man, two woman jury determined that on April 25th, 2020, Jones climbed through a window in the middle of the night in the front side of the residence on Aline Street without permission.  The break-in woke up the residents who began screaming because of a stranger in their home.

Jones then returned to the same home on May 8th, 2020 in the middle of the night again, and tried to make forcible entry into the residence.  The residents heard the knocking on the window and saw the front door knob turn and shouted through the door that they were calling the police, when Jones fled the scene.

Jones is scheduled to return to court for sentencing on January 17th, 2023, where he faces up to six years in prison with or without hard labor, and/or a fine of up to $1000 for the unauthorized entry conviction, and up to three years in prison and/or a fine of up to $500 for the attempted entry charge.
