A final decision has been made. There will be no Humor and Harmony Festival in Shreveport this year. Mayor Tom Arceneaux confirms to KEEL News that the event will not be happening in 2026.

Curtis 50 Cent Jackson held the first Humor and Harmony Festival in August of 2024 and it was a huge success. Events were held at several venues downtown attracting thousands of visitors to the area.

The inaugural Humor & Harmony Weekend drew crowds with a wide slate of events including headline comedy shows featuring names like Dave Chappelle, Katt Williams and Bill Bellamy, musical performances by Master P, DaBaby, Flo Rida and others. Jackson also hosted a celebrity basketball game, and community-friendly attractions like the 50 Fit Park and a Drive Your Dreams car show.

The event was not held in 2025, but there was some discussion about hosting the event in March of this year, but that did not happen because of too many conflicts.

At last report, there were plans to hold the event later this year, but now the Mayor has confirmed it won't happen this year. Jackson and his team are busy getting Millennium Studios ready to be used for filming and they are also trying to work out a deal with the city about the Red River District. But no proposal has been released about that proposal. A representative for 50 Cent did tell the city council several improvements to the Red River District needed to be made before an agreement could be reached.

Mayor Arceneaux has told KEEL News it's premature to think about 50 Cent managing the Red River District. But he did give the G-Unit team the green light to inspect the properties.
