Shreveport Woman Arrested After Bizarre Home Invasion Incident

Shreveport Police officers responded to Sarah Lane in reference to a possible home invasion.

Officers got to the scene, and were told that a female suspect had allegedly forced her way into the victim’s home, causing damage to the door frame. During the incident, several additional men reportedly entered the home as well. The victim was not able to identify any of the men.

The victim told SPD that he armed himself with a knife and attempted to defend himself from the intruders. During the fight, the victim accidentally stabbed himself in the hand. The victim also told investigators he believed two of the suspects may have been stabbed during the confrontation.

Shreveport Police Department Domestic Violence Unit responded to the scene and learned the victim and the female suspect had previously been involved in a relationship for several months, though the female did not live at the home. Investigators found out the two had been involved in a verbal altercation earlier in the day before the female later returned to the residence accompanied by several men.

Following the investigation, Sha’yazmin Dougless was arrested and charged with one count of Home Invasion.
