
Shreveport Man Arrested on Gun and Drug Charges During Stop
Just after midnight on Sunday, Shreveport Police made an arrest involving an armed convicted felon during a traffic stop.
SPD Officers saw a car operating without license plates near the intersection of Parkway Drive and Gregg Street. During the traffic stop, SPD identified the driver as Gunner Hendrix.
During the investigation, Officers found that Hendrix was in possession of a gun and drugs. Further investigation revealed that Hendrix is prohibited from possessing a firearm due to a prior felony aggravated assault conviction and additional offenses.
Officers also determined that Hendrix was out of jail on bond at the time of his arrest stemming from a 2024 gun and drug case.
From SPD:
"Hendrix was taken into custody and now faces charges including possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, along with additional narcotics and firearm-related charges.
The Shreveport Police Department will continue proactive enforcement efforts aimed at removing illegal firearms from the streets and holding repeat offenders accountable."
