
Shreveport Man Arrested on Felony Gun and Drug Charges
Last week, the Shreveport Police Department made contact with a man with the help of Louisiana Probation and Parole Agents.
SPD's VCAT (Violent Crime Abatement Team) with the help of Parole Agents were able to execute a search warrant at 3001 Newport Street.
The arrest warrant was for Allen Brown for charges of Attempted First-Degree Murder and Possession of Cocaine. When Agents arrested Brown and searched the home, they were able to find some new crimes to charge him with, after finding 26.5 grams of marijuana, 74 MDMA pills, and a gun.
Brown was arrested and charged with the following, not including his outstanding warrants:
· Possession of Schedule I Controlled Dangerous Substances (MDMA and Marijuana – two counts)
· Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon
Brown was taken in to custody, and was transported to Caddo Correctional Center for Processing.
