Shreveport Man Found Guilty of Sex Crimes Against a Juvenile
A Shreveport man accused of committing sexual acts with a 13 year-old girl back in 2023 has been found guilty in Caddo Court.
It was revealed in court that 33 year-old Brandon Lehard Moore approached the 13 year-old victim at the apartment complex where they lived. Moore smoked marijuana with the victim before forcing her to perform oral sex on him. Moore tried having intercourse with the victim.
The victim, a DNA expert, a sexual assault nurse examiner, an advocate from the Gingerbread House and a detective from the Shreveport Police Department all testified against Moore in court.
The jury took just over an hour to find Moore guilty as charged for second-degree rape. When Moore returns to court for sentencing, he faces 5 to 40 years in prison at hard labor, without benefit of probation, parole, or suspension of sentence.
From the Caddo DA:
"Moore was prosecuted by Assistant District Attorneys Senae D. Hall and Fernando Grider Jr. He was represented by Royal Alexander and Dave Knadler."
